Chinagraph pencils are great, I love my Sharpies but only using it on high gloss ceramic... guess they would not be a good idea on anything porous or markable.

BTW, I'm only a DIY'er.. listen to the pros

A lot of stonemasons use Tipex pens to mark wet cuts.

We used to use paint pens to mark sizes on our granite slab stock.
