Could do with some much appreciated advice and quickly.....

Right got a 1600 bath and room width after plastering is 1640, so left with 40mm gap at the back of the bath and would like to start tiling tomorrow.

My initial thoughts, chase into plaster make gap 50mm (make tling alittle easier), fit batterns along top and bottom (1600 bath panel) and allow for the tile. It doesnt have to be spot on, as the vanity cupboard will cover most of it, as the vanity is only 50mm away from the bath and 300mm deep.

So two questions really?...

1. What would be the best method to fill the 40 mm gap which may be 50mm if I chase into plaster? .......and

2. The bath isn’t totally flush to the walls in the corner, shall I chase into the plaster so it protrudes over the bath ?

PS. don't want to double board the wall with the 40mm gap as there is a lot of intricut cutting to do for various fittings.

Thanks Ross:thumbsup:

If I understand correctly, I think your only option is to build a shelf (box in bath end) and then tile it:thumbsup:
agree phil, neater than when people put tiles over lapping or up to the bath end. Its the side of the bath as well where it is difficult to look net where the bath panel ends, unless you want the expense of a tiled panel

Sorry ,manners, welcome to the forum ISM
