Best Tile Options for High-Traffic Areas?

Tilers Forums Official Sponsors

Hey everyone,

I’m planning to renovate my home and looking for the best tile options for high-traffic areas like the kitchen, hallway, and bathroom. I want something durable, easy to maintain, and, of course, stylish.
I’ve heard porcelain tiles are a great choice because they are water-resistant and scratch-proof, but I’m also considering ceramic or even natural stone tiles. Does anyone have experience with these? Which type holds up best over time?
Additionally, I’d love some advice on finishes—should I go for matte, polished, or textured tiles? I’m worried about slipping, especially in wet areas. Any suggestions on grout types or sealants that help with longevity would also be appreciated!
Would love to hear from professionals tableau tutorials or homeowners who’ve installed tiles in high-traffic areas. Any recommendations or things to avoid?

Thanks in advance for your insights!
Looking forward to your expert advice. 😊
Regards
mathew
