Guys and gals,
I have been on my local council websites looking at the planning application lists and was wondering what would be the most advisable way to approach the applications that are having work done.
I am a little worried that it could upset people that im getting their home addresses from the internet.
Should i write a letter and insert a couple of cards explaining what service i could provide or go around each address and post a card through the door.
The only issue with taking the cards round is the fact that there are so many spread over a large area.
Has anyone else tryed this method and how did they get on???????
As always i look forward to your replies.
Albert

Go to the house and explain who you are and what you do and tell them where you got the details from,be honest and dont trip yourself up.You are being pro-active and showing initiative which should be applauded,so as they say nothing ventured nothing gained.

Doing it this way also lets them see you and they can form that all important first opinion of you..Mark.

I would'nt want some in my face knocking on the door saying I can do your job albeit bricky, sparky or whoever, just would'nt work for me, but a letter with lot's of detail with customer referencesess I would keep.
