Has anyone ever used the dry cutter called the big clinker? Reviews say its better than the rubi TS 60 and that it cuts polished porcelain with ease? Just wanted some feed back as i'm on the verge of buying a TS 60 for £140 but at £80 from Screwfix the Clinker could be better value?

Hi wivers got a big clinker myself, not too happy with it, problem is you have to get right down to line up the cutting wheel with pencil line used it to cut porciline worked out better than my rubi 50 plus through. if you can put up with bending down go for it

got one my self to you like to buy it lol geting a new rubi it was ok but same as calculator to much bending down to see your mark

I was trawling the net looking for a Rubi TS60 Plus (got a few bathrooms coming up), and this site came up. I need to register here. I'm impressed.

I recently decided to take the plunge and start up on my own (bricking it that the work won't be there!). Anyway, if you don't mind me asking wivers, where can I get the Rubi TS60 Plus for £140? The cheapest I can find is £199! At the minute EVERY penny counts!

Really appreciate any feedback.

Keep up the great work guys. I'll be back!

Sean.

Hi lads,

I've just joined the site. I've also just recently set up on my own... scary!!! Been in the Building Game for... well, I was on the 'Noah's Ark' job! 🙂

I came across this site while searching for a Rubi TS60 Plus and this came up in the search. I was wondering if you could tell me where I can get a TS60 for £140 wivers? The lowest I can find is £199. Granted that's for the TS60 Plus but even the TS60 is about £170.

Thanks in advance.

Great site. I'll definitely be logging in on a regular basis, unless my business is so busy I don't have the time... well I can live in hope!

But seriously, I will be back. I like going through stuff like this. You're never too old to learn and you never know everything. And if I can help anyone on the site in anyway be it with advice or even with a job I will. I'm in Whitley Bay (near Newcastle upon Tyne).

Well better go and see if I can find a TS60 for £140... man that seems like a good price.

All the best lads (and lasses),

Blasphemous.

Hi Wivers,

I have a big clinker and chose it over the equiv Rubi. Calculator is right, you have to line up a bit more carefully but in all other aspects, particularly the solid feel, I think it's a better cutter. (it's also nice to be a bit different IMO:shades_smile🙂

A TS 60 from buybrandtools.com who are the cheapest I can find after a quick search is £158.26 plus the Vodka And Tonic with free delivery. £153.27 from TT but you have to pay for delivery so buybrandtools.com just gets it.

I'm guessing it's an ebay jobby that Wivers found?

You have to watch out though then. Rubi has a long guarantee and you can be sure to think that the only thing most ebay sellers can guarantee is that they wont change it you if it breaks!

I'd always stick to a decent reputable supplier where possible with anything over £50 to be honest. Obviously depending on the saving I suppose.
