Big clinker

I'll probably start a war saying this but I've tried both Rubi & sigma & just don't like the feel of them at all. I liked the clinker from my first cut

I had a poke around in topps and they had a well used Clinker in there, there was a stack of play in the rail bearings but it did cut very straight! It definitely feels more susbstantial than the screwfix one but it is a few quid more I guess.

The longer Brutus cutters have a much better slide rail arrangement no play at all in them 🙂

the brutus dont always cut straight though. I bought one as I needed something quick and 4 of them had curved rails

Well I need a cutter by the end of tomorrow. I have a choice of a Big Clinker mk1 or a rubi star-60-n locally. 4 bathrooms and 2 kitchens in large format porcelain are what i need to do. Which one do I get :-D

I would get a Sigma and not worry about having to upgrade for a long time .

Well, I went in and changed the clinker 2 for another clinker 1. Will be here in the morning

Never tried a smegma but I'd be interested. I have a big clinker and although its done me 30 bathrooms on one wheel, it must be the mk1 as it has the spec mentioned. I like it well enough but it does tend to cut 1-2mil over, that said you get used to it like anything else, breaks well if you set it up to suit the tiles. No complaints.
Think I paid just over a ton for it in Topps a year ago.
