webber slc is 10.95 + vat at ctd at the moment on special, its a good product and designed for heated floors , you just need to work it a bit more , but highly recommend it, i use plastic float so no damage to element

Dancuprar, What did you go for in the end?
I'm planning of leveling a big area myself and know what you mean about the cost!!
For info I've also seen the Siki SLC at £15 bag in B&Q but I phoned Sika's technical helpline today they advised me it wasnt suitable for encasing UFH - even though it says "Suitable for underfloor heating" on the bag.
Something about it wont stick to the heating element or somesuch and will crack.

Best I can find SLC near me (Liverpool) is around £23 a bag so would love to find a cheaper option.

I use the Ultra 2 for ufh
