Doing a bathroom next week. Customer wants it tiled to the window only, at the top he wants a mosaic trim going along, basicaly cutting a square of mosaics down so its in strips of 3. You think it will be ok tiling as normal or when applying the border should i trowel it with a moasaic trowel? Obviously want the border to be flush with the other tiles, not done mosaics before.
Thx

If the mosaics are the same thickness as tiles then no problems, use standard notch on walls and mosaic trowel, with buttered backs for the mosaic.Use your grout float to pat the mosaics flush with your wall tiles

if mosaics thinner than field tiles use a very thin tile (cut to size) to bulk up and stick mosaic on them!

Make sense?
Great stuff Holo ,did it all the time ,...vice versa use floor notch trowel on tile to bulk it out a bit and mosaic trowel on mosaics

Went to Topps in Failsworth (manchester) today Gaz seeing as you were having days off :(
Spoke with a lad named Lee, don't know if you know him. Spot on bloke gave me some good help. Bought the wrong addy for a shower (cost £12.99) so gave them a ring later on when i realised. Told me to pop back tomorrow and will swap it for the stuff i need no problem, one i need is double the price but will do a straight swap at no charge. Great stuff
