bitumen slurry coat mix .

Hi tilers ! ive got a floor to tile, floor is bitumen ,tiles are 13 by 13 ceramic,. whats the best way to prep this ? would it be ok to use a laytex slc over it ? or a slurry of sbr and portland cement?

hi terry i would try and remove any loose bitumen then slurry coat it

Thanks kilty55 , what mix would you do for the slurry ? and would it have to dry out before i could tile onto it ?

As kilty.............remove any loose stuff.

Mix up a brushable slurry mix, and yes, leave to dry.
