all depends on the quartz content needs to be over 90% quartz other wise they not worth buying also some of the quartz on market doesnt have an even finish, if you buy it ask to see some tiles out of a few different cartons as some of the cheaper stuff I have seen is patchy

Re: black quartz tiles at marblemosaics in sussex - are they of good

We bought white quartz tiles from marble mosaic: it was a nightmare! The tiles were all sorts of shades from crystal white to white/light green. When I complained to them, they were the most unhelpful, arrogant people imaginable. Typical example for a bad online trader: once they've got your money they don't give a damn.If you're smart, buy somewhere else!!!

I also have had a very unfortunate experience with this outfit.
I purchased a quantity of floor tiles which when the plastic cover was removed were clearly very poor seconds and damaged. They refused to change the tiles and as Benica says they were most arrogant and dismissive. This is coupled to the dispute I overheard between one of their staff on the telephone whilst I was at the showroom and the foul name the customer was called after they had rung off.
I seriously recommend that anyone steers well clear. I lost a lot of money due to this purchase.

I have to say that I completely agree with you. I have just purchased with these individuals and they are aggressive and very rude. Completely unreasonable when several boxes of Marble Tiles came that were cracked and one box completely broken.

They are thoroughly rude. The name he gave was Stuart Smith, and then refused to give me anymore information.

Turns out his name is Mr Stewart C. Gough. According to his accounts he paid himself and his wife £60,000 plus change. Not a very nice group of people. Very greedy, no customer service. Will not use again.

Re: black quartz tiles at marblemosaics in sussex - are they of good

Another day, another problem with marblemosaics ltd.

75% of the tiles delivered were damaged or faulty. I reported this over the phone the day of delivery and sent email evidence the following day.

They are refusing to refund or exchange. It looks like their previous dealings with trading standards and the courts have made little difference.

Any advice welcome

Mirror Quartz tiles (Galaxy, Lightburst, Gulfstone) can be atrocious from online dealers. I would expect to pay £50-60 minimum for a good quality. Make sure you can get physical samples before committing to any serious orders.
We've had reports of some of the cheaper knockoffs having some serious issues. Certain batches when exposed to sunlight or prolonged use of UFH, the resins & fillers have had adverse reactions to the temperature changes, changing colour, clouding, crazing and cracking.

Topps tiles quality are pretty good I've heard from customers and have seen some samples, they're our biggest local competitor, both physically and online, so I only give them credit where it really is due. If their quality is good here, I would hope it's equable nationwide.

, whoever you buy from, try to find out who their supplier is and do a bit of independent research to make sure they're good. And get samples!
