Blade life DT3734

I'm using a Dewalt D24000 to cut Margres Chic full body porcelain tiles which are 12mm thick. Some of the cuts are 45 degree and there have been some pluge cuts. So far I have cut about 30 x 200 by 600 tiles and seem to have destroyed 2 of the Dewalt diamond blades, DT3734 which came with the D24000. Is this normal? Is there a better blade or am I doing something wrong?

Hi mate, are you using enough water? seems a bit strange to me.:yikes:

I have had my Dewalt for a while now and still on number one Dewalt wheel. I cut everything no problem.

I'm using loads of water from the twin nozzles, for the first few cuts the blade went through easily with very light pressure on the table, but after afew cuts it became progressively harder and required much more pressure, so I changed to my second blade and the same thing happened again even though I was much more gentle with it. The plunge cuts and 45 degree cuts are even more difficult than a straight cut.

The blade just needs honing.. cut through a block of sandstone to expose new diamonds.

Sorry Chris I don't know what to say, as Neale above I have had mine a while still on the 1st blade, I have cut everything with it, no bother. Maybe someone else could suggest some explanation

I had been thinking about getting a Rubi ceramic block to unclog the blade, is that what you would recommend?

My other thoughts were to get another blade - but which one?

The rubi block is the one..

I use the Montilit DNA blade on my Dewalt machine.. awesome blade.. Tradetiler Montolit diamond wheels

How did you get on? I too am experiencing some problems with my blades even though i rarely use the saw
