Boxing in

Hi, just fitted in the bath.looking at doing a bit of boxing in around bath toilet etc.just wondering whats the best to use an to tile on to.plus iv been reading about sealing in bath waste.all I have used is the foam seal supplied.isnt this enough.thanks

for the boxing i'd use either tile backer board or plaster board.

Those foam seals do work but not all the time and for something like a bath which can be hard to access then I prefer to use plumbers mait but you can use Silicon if you must.

I would bin the foam seal and use a Silicon or plumbers mate.

The trick with the foam seals is not to over tighten when fitting.

Thank you for your replys.I haven't over tightened the foam seal,so all is good.First bath I have fitted, now on to the sink and toilet to be fitted.
