British Ceramic wall & floor tiles for bathroom floor?

You should be looking for porcelain tiles for the floor and not ceramic that are only internal use. As previously stated these are indeed a wall tile biscuit and too soft for flooring use. They will crack, chip, and stain .

Right, so ceramic floor tiles are to be avoided?

Porcelain/natural stone will never let you down. More expensive but you get what you pay for.

porcelain tile is harder than ceramic and offers greater design flexibility. porcelain tile is more refined and purified.
