Brown envelopes for Tile shops??

Hi, I've been tiling for about 6 month now, I have been getting quite alot of jobs from my nearest tile shop ( where I buy all my adhesive and grout etc). Lately they haven't been sending jobs my way, even tnough I know all the jobs I have done for them, the customers where very satisfied with my work. Is it common place to give the sales men/women in the shop some money to keep the business rolling your way, if so how much is normal ?

Don't give them money that can cause upset also with other fixers. At my local shop i take them go karting and then for a curry at xmas. that works just as well and youre not lining there pockets!

Just buy them a butty every now and again and stick a crate of carling in their shop at Xmas for when they finish on their lst day or whatever.

It's them that should be giving you the cash really. But it will help with the relationship you need to get the business from them.
