btd builder trade database

Hi,

Just had a call from the btd builder trade database has anybody used them
£200 to get on there database the say they can get me 3-8 jobs a week !!!
2.5 commision on jobs over £1000.



any advise would be great

I wouldn't trust cold calls mate

Check them out online first don't go spending your money as it might be a scam

Think about it just for a minute,, how can they get you any work, do load of people suddenly start ringing them looking for tilers? No, they dont!
Its a con and they want your £200, when they ring just place the phone down on the table and go for an long 3 hour walk, they wont ring again.

I think Diamond has it, deffo not a good call in my book, save your money, spend it on flyers cards etc and do a sweep of your area, if they could get everyone 3 - 8 jobs a week we would all be on it.

anyone who asks for money up front is 99% of the time at it,if they were that sure of offering you work then they would be able to rely on the commision alone without a join up fee!

There seems to be a lot of these companies trying to take advantage of trademen with less work than usual As said perviously spend the money on your own ads/flyers it will repay you quicker and be more profitable :hurray:

Look at it this way...Have you ever heard of them ? And if you wanted a trade would you have contacted them to find you someone ? No you wouldnt cos you have never heard of them. Dont trust anyone promising you work. If they are so sure they can get you work then let them work on commission when you have finished the jobs the provide and your cheque has been cashed,

they must make quite a few calls, this is the fifth time on mentioned here. They are a 'company' near me
