Building up layers of adhesive onto plasterboard

I was wanting to know can you build up tile adhesive to sort out a problem with a shower tray that hasn't been fitted Square ?? At the furthest away point from the wall it's about 12 and at the closest point it's about 8mm , I was thinking of using a 12mm trowel and tapering it out till next to nothing , letting it sit a few hours then smoothing it out , also was thinking about over boarding with more plasterboard , ( as in this country every backer board has to be ordered in ) but then this means doing the whole wall , and changing architrave thickness !

I've glued & screwed sections of thermal board to pack walls out where the stud hadn't been lined through.
If I hadn't then I would have been packing out about 12mm & the use of the board helped that out.

How fars the door frame from the shower?. Could you not screw a piece of 12mm plaster board at the far edge a bit of 9mm at the near edge fill inbetween and rule off and then fill between the 9mm and door frame and rule off if it all tapers the same way?.

About 400 mm , I'd be worried that 9mm plasterboard wouldn't be strong enough to recieve the tiles !

No not board. cut 10mm strips, screw them on and use them to fill out ant rule off so you get the wall nice and flat.

I've cut strips of board, dabbed them on and then put the full board on after the dry wall addy has set on the strips.

How thick is the tiles, say 8-9mm min, 4mm bed of addy and it'll still go over tray or am I reading this wrong.

Dot n dab green plasterboard the whole wall......looks like it would still be ok to tile.

If not.....dot nab left of tray, and then use Bal quick set render to level it all off.

You should have 10mm behind the board anyway as standard dot and dabbing, should'nt think your'd have to build up at that thickness.

Ended up re boarding the whole shower wall out with a mixture of moisture resistant , and ordinary 12mm board ! Will fix heavier mdf architrave , to solve the problem of the tiles protruding the previous architrave !! Then tank the whole wall, job done and piece of Mind !!
