C2TA Tile Adhesive

Hi, can anyone tell me why some adhesives that don't say they are flexible and some that do, both still have C2TE on ? are there different types of C2TE ?? or is this nothing to do with the flexible part ? thanks

So you'd want S1 or something on the end I guess then?

Thanks for that, am I right in saying if it doesn't have an S on it, it is not flexible ? because have seen some ultra Pro Rapid RS which says is for heating but is C2FT, no mention of an S ?

I've noticed some flexible adhesives don't always have an S rating on the end. But check the blurb on the bag or data sheet. Weber adhesives have a logo/image on the bag

I think quite a few people confuse flexibility with suitability for porcelain. For example, BAL Rapidset is suitable for fixing porcelain but its not flexible.
As far as I'm concerned, C means cement based, 2 means its polymer modified (ie good for porcelain), T means its got good grab, E means its open time is extended, S1 means its deformable, S2 means its highly deformable, F means its fast setting.
If I need a flexible adhesive, I just choose one that says flexible on the bag.
