cad programmes

Hi all. Does anyone know of any decent easy to use CAD programmes/software for tiling.I have heard of certain tiling training places using some sort of programme. Has anyone used one, would sure like to know. Must be great to put in measurments and it tell you how many tiles you need and where to put them. I'm all for having labour saving devices. Her indoors takes all my energy. :21:

The problem is with CAD, you can't replicate older rooms due to the (often lack of) flatness of the walls and it can't follow how out they WILL all be.

I've tiled walls with CAD that I know would need a huge amount of prepping time to replicate. Time spent on the computer could also be spent tiling.

The only use I saw for CAD would be to show customers a thing or two but if you had pictures of past work you could show them the real thing.

The tile variations in size and such-like (and I mean their tollerance for 1st quality isn't always perfect so the sizes of tiles can change ever so slightly) enough over a big wall to throw you off your computer set-out.

its a bit advanced for me, i can understand it when designing new kitchen layouts and landscapes but for tiling. maybe for large commercial work but not for domestic work
