HI guys and galls.
I have recently extended and plasterboarded (vapour barrier type - silver backing type which is what building control specified) my bathroom. I am about to install the bath which will run down one wall only i.e. not into a corner of the room. I have read many things on here about not PVAing the wall first just tile on top which is fine but can I leave the pasterboard bare under the bath? I will tile slighly around the ends incase of any water running around.
I dont want to tile the whole wall first i.e under the bath as well as I believe this will not given me a good seal to the bath, even though it would solve any potential problems. I will be screwing and siliconing the bath to the wall and then obviously siliconing bethween the bath and the tiles.
What do people recommend? Can i leave it bare?
Many thanks in advance to any help available!
Rob
