Can I Put a house plug on a 120v 60hz 0.55amp microwave fan and motor? Discussion ThreadCan I Put a house plug on a 120v 60hz 0.55amp microwave fan and motor? Electrical Advice
I have a microwave oven that I tore apart before taking metal to scrap. I safely discharged the capacitor first, then took out the interior parts.
The blower fan looks really nice with the above mentioned motor on it. I'd like to use it for another project by attaching a standard U.S. plug to it. Do I need to add a resistor? I have VERY limited knowledge of electronics but did wire my 110v basement with plugs and fluorescent tubes. The motor has two spade connectors on top.
