Is it possible to 'polish' the edge of travertine tiles, and how ? I have a fein multimaster, with sanding attachments. The sanding pads are 180 and 120. Are these any good ? Never done it before so advice would be really good !! Thanks in advance

If it is honed then yes the fein will suffice..

Them pads are very rough start with a 180 then 360 then around 700 then 900 ish and polish with a 1200 grade we always polish edges around windows

On a honed finish tile..:lol:

No more than a 300 grit for honed..

The 120 grit will remove saw marks and then move up to the 180 and then if you have them move up to 200 or 240.. if you do not have them then get some wet and dry to finish at the honed look..

I have used a random orbital sander with various grades to get and excellent finish including rounding off..

They were Deano but I wasnt. When I put the sealer on it showed up all the filler in the tiles. Appalling quality

i thought that when i looked at them. did you re level the floor or did you go on what they had done?

I had to build up around most of the edges....up to 12mm

Had I realised just how bad it was then I would have re levelled it but when I went to see it the whole area was covered in cardboard and units everywhere. I didnt realise it was as bad as it was but Hey Ho, all is done now.
