Is it for a major dealer?

Reason I ask is that THEY usually supply everything. Same tiles, cements & grouts for every car showroom in the country.

I had to laugh at the shower of nuts they got in to the local Alfa garage around the corner from me.

They self leveled the floor on top of floor paint. :yikes: Then wondered why it didn't stick. So wot did they do............self leveled over the top of it again:dizzy2:

I happened to stop to look at the nice Alfa's (and hoping to get a look at wot they were up too) and they came out and asked me wot I thought. They told me wot they had done :dizzy2::dizzy2::dizzy2::dizzy2:

I suggested they rip the lot up and hire a scabbler to strip off the floor paint.......sbr the floor, THEN self level again.

$£&*% That came the reply......that will cost and take ages...........
The following week after faffing around a bit...........they did just that:yes:

They where 3 months behind with that and other works.

The worrying thing is..........this is a big local firm:smash::smash::smash:

Popped in there just before Christmas..........there Granfix "Blue" grout is faded to hell all over.......and there are more lips than a lippy thing.

At least the dealer wont have to put wedges under the wheels to stop them rolling about

When I did my training I remember labouring for a fitter for 2 showroom jobs. 1st was 300 m^2 and the 2nd was around 600 m^2. The bigger one, I remember we put in 30+ bags of latex before we even thought about setting out. Large Island office in the middle, loads of pillars to cut round. Doorways had matwells put in. Was a great job though, between the 2 of us, we were putting down 80+ m^2 per day, him laying, me on adhesive and tile patrol :)
