I agree its a very good way to charge a customer... all depends on what the charge is tho lol

2.75% of each payment isn't bad at all but if a job went into the thouasnds I would preffer cheque lol. and you shouldn't really have to pay £60 for the card reader as they will be taking that percentage over a long period of time! just my 2 pence

If you spend enough per month the charge is a fixed monthly fee by the looks of it.

I know Santander do a similar thing, maybe for smaller jobs as alot of people live on the card nowadays...

I was looking at it recently, Screwfix have a very similar machine....I was tempted, 2.8% ish which isnt too bad and may encourage people to spend.

Screwfix do something similar - its still 2.75% of charge, but you buy the reader for a one-off £60 and theres NO monthly fee. Its on my Christmas list, and I love the fact that if you don't use it then it doesn't cost you anything.

I guess it depends what type of work you do , more suited to private work I would say.

Direct bank transfer is just as good. Faster payments means it's in before you get home. I do this a fair bit.

I quite agree with you Paul; I put my bank details on my Invoices as I prefer this way.
The main thing about the Card readers is that its for customers who DONT have the money:lol:
