Ceramic Tile Chipping

Hi

The electric tile cutter that I have bought cuts perfectly until the very end of the cut when it chips off a corner of the glaze which is stressing me greatly. I have replaced the wheel with a more expensive branded one but the same thing happens. Is there anything that can be done to stop this happening ??

cut in about an inch from one end then cut from the other end , that should help you out.

I had thought of doing that but would have to be accurate with the second cut to make sure that the two line up. Could I cut the inch cut with the glazed face down so that the guide bar on the cutter can be left in the same position.

What about a manual cutter...
