Changing Career.....becoming a pro poker player

Well thats it after last night's excursion into the world of online poker
i have decided to jack in tiling and become a poker pro, Entered a omaha tournament last night, 10,000 entrants and i won :hurray::hurray::hurray:. first prize of 18 dollars and it only took 6 hours :yikes:.

PMSL! My best mate is addicted to poker and oftern attends these poker nights in London. Some times wins but I suspect loses alot more. He did however win £3,000 online at a house party once when he linked the plasma up to the pc in the lounge and everyone was helping him out. Really good night was had by all.

aw no i was hoping for at least 30 dollars......oh well back to the day job

I love poker, play it all the time but with one difference to most who play it on line or in a poker school, I only ever drink tea or coffee, no beer at all. Lost £800 in one night years back because I thought it was cool to drink whisky whilst playing, its not.

I've heard some horror stories of guys drinking while playing with 'the big boys' and having to take out loans to pay off debts. All the guys I know seem to be responsible that way so the worst off you'll be after is maybe £50 or £60.
