Child Support Agency

How many self employed or soon to be (more importantly) are dealing with the Child Support Agency? Are you able to get advice? Do you need advice?

used to work for the csa (did not enjoy it but you have to work to eat etc!) but could probs answer some questions as used to be a trainer so pretty clued up.

I did some years ago, The good thing about being self employed is the csa could,nt take money out off my wages. They had to speak to my accountant about some tax figure, The csa said I had to pay the ex £5 a week that went down like a lead balloon I paid more. Had to pay until my daughter left college at 19.

I've had similar experience to Whitebeam.
My accountant prepared the books and the CSA assessed me at F'all a month. I paid what I thought was fair until my daughter finished full time education - mind you she costs me more now than she did when she was at school! Written 2 cars off already!!!

i owe them £20000 they reassessed me but forgot to tell me until several years later but they did apologize very kind of them don't you think, having to pay it off monthly
