Chris Moyles last day

Moyles is no more on Radio 1.

I liked his show to a point, easy listening and all that.

Not a fan of the new guy.

easy listening? I stopped listening about 5 years ago after realising that the hour I spent in the car was mixed with white noise and talking. I hardly ever heard any decent music or anything decent being discussed. It was like a party that had spilled over from the night before. Maybe my tastes changed but Chris Moyles certainly didn't do himself any favours. I'd rather hear Chris Evans on Radio 2, although I've stopped listening to the radio completely whilst in the car. I much prefer the silence now.

Now I love music but I rarely listen while driving. I find I drive calmer without the radio on.....not that I am aggressive but I always got a the feeling that I would drive faster with Rock music etc .
I just listen to every knock and creak from the car now !

my husband says he drives faster when listening to trance and happy hardcore music in the car. If I do have music on, it's a CD, and currently in my car is Emeli Sande's album and in my husband's car is Def Leppard's greatest hits. but still, anything is better than Moyles.

I find it astonishing Moyles manages to get employment at all.

I like Radio 2 or 4 depending what's on. I put up with Heart if the Mrs is in the Car.

14 year old daughter turns it on to Capital when I'm not watching - pop pap.

Some people showing their age! LOL! I personally think the BBC have made a big mistake, time will tell. Brilliant radio show, just my sense of humour, childish and silly! I will miss it in the mornings.

The playlist on Radio 1 did my head in now I'm older but I think it did Moyles' head in too.

You've described his show to a tee Bri - childish and silly. But it was very obviously switching people off, hence why the BBC have pulled him. It's all about listener numbers though. The beeb won't get any revenue if people aren't watching or listening to their channels.

6 Music all the way for me, you never know what's going to be played next, no playlist to speak of. Radio 1 is now unlistenable (i'm too old), and Radio 2 is too bland (i'm not that old).

He was funny in 2006 but he's churned out exactly the same format and 'jokes' every day since. Got a bit tiresome, about time he left.

But then again, what do you expect on Radio 1?

I've got a 4 hour drive upto a job in scotland tomorrow, been trying to figure out how to plug my i-pod into pick up stereo, haven't worked it out yet, so it might be site radio with i-pod plugged into that on the back seat! I love rock music when I'm driving,,zz top's "eliminator" is a classic driving album
