Hi All,

Unfortunately my tiler, after reading these posts, wasn't as good as hoped for. He tiled my floor white/grey natural stone mosaic (Original Style - Mosaic Stone Tiles) and grouted and didn't pre seal, so now the tiles are a little dirty with grey grout and some other stain - what should I clean them with before applying Lithofin stain stop. Tried a damp cloth last night but it was hard work - should i use a scourer and some product?
Also spotted a couple of holes in grout, i haven't got any grout handy - how best should i fill them?

Cheers
Will

You will have to excuse any mistakes but am doing this off my phone! What you have there is not dirt but grout haze. So what you need to do is strip the sealer off then remove the grout haze, your in a bit of a predicament here as usually you would remove grout haze with a acid but as you have stone you cannot use that method as you will etch the stone. So you will need a abrasive such as Aqua Seal Microscrub that will only work if it is not to thick (grout haze). If this does not work then you will either need a honing powder or hand diamonds. If it is majorly bad then you will have to resort to a professional to grind it out and re-finish the surface. But IMO I don't think it will be possible to do that with those mosaics so a rip out would have to be carried out. If you manage to solve it then don't forget to re-seal the surface

get same grout one tiler used fill the holes first then wipe them off. After two hours filling holes use lithofin power clean that should get rid off all grout residue without damaging stones, just follow instructions on bottle rinse clean
wait 24 hours than use lithofin stain stain stop
if lithofin power clean does not work
use FilaPS87 rinse clean wait 24 hours than use lithofin stain stop
