I've only done 3 jobs so far and once I had finished these jobs I just wanted to gte home coz I was knackered lol and just kinda skipped cleaning stuff. I gave my trowels a quick clean but wasnt perfect.

will clean as I go from now on me thinks

The condition of your tools, is a reflection of yourself as a professional.Customers see dirty un -cared for tools and think you have no pride.Nice clean tools produced from tool bag shining and smelling of WD40...will gain your customers respect. Many times when I have worked with other tradesmen in peoples houses they borrow your tools to do their job...what does that tell you about them !!........Gaz

Thanks Gaz, yeah your right. I'd think the same if someone came to do a joib for me and had filthy tools!!

pardon the ignorance lol but what tools can ya clean with wd40? cheers.

I have a bucket of water with me on the job and cleen as i go, if i stop for lunch i just put everything in the water so they don't dry out, at the end of the day i cleen everything out over the grid on the street making sure i dont leave a white stain

I have a habit of working too close up to the point when I need to leave the house, so too often I go home with dirty tools, then have to be cleaning them up at home in the dark, or early morning

You dont clean tools with WD40, you spray and smear it on all steel tools, trowels, wet and dry cutters etc...it prevents rusting......Gaz
