its another angle that will appeal to the diy markets do doubt and will impact on the tile fixer...

but that said, the people with money and different tastes will still prefer traditional techniques and they will employer a pro tiler because they will be busy doing what ever they do in their busy lives...

i think they will eventually suffer from the possibiltiy of cracking due to not being solidly fixed and the grout will also suffer the same problems imo

Dave, this isn't an advert, but feel free to pull this post if it goes against forum rules.

Whilst visiting the Porcelanosa Butech factory a few weeks ago they demonstrated their CLI-KER system. The whole ground floor of the Butech showroom had been done with it and I have to say it was spot on. There was a couple of guys fitting it and they were covering a lot of metres in a short space of time. The "grout" is a kind of rubber strip that is installed as the tiles go in. Installation is basically a matter of Silicon and a rubber mallet.

Apparently, it has been designed with offices and showrooms in mind where the building is taken on a shorterm lease. When the occupant moves out, they take their flooring with them .

Hopefully, this link will work....

Seems like a good idea, but what time you save fitting it, you would have to put in in getting the floor absolutely perfectly flat in the first place. I think i'll stick to the traditional methods, it's got to be a better and more permanent way of fixing without problems to look forward to later.
