cloudy limestone

Dear All,
We laid Mandarin tumbled limestone tiles a few months ago, well our excellent builders did. We bought them indirectly and have used Lithofin products, as opposed to the Fila recommended my Mandarin - all in the cause of trying to save some dosh.
But the tiles have an uneven sheen now, a sort of cloudiness. I have talked to a Lithofin product manager who is advising me to carefully redress the tiles with Stainstop - he wonders whether a residue was left. It will be a long and painstaking task, as he describes it. But I am wondering whether at this juncture, I should cut my losses and remove the Lithofin product (I assume this can be done) and re-treat with the various Fila products.
I am sure our very experienced builder will have made sure the tilers sealed then grouted, then sealed again. I know he would have taken care, it's not in his nature to shortcut in any way, which is why I am coming to wonder whether the product is just not as good as it should be?
I would be very grateful for any advice as my husband goes potty every weekend about the finish and it is spoiling the enjoyment of my new kitchen!

Nothing wrong with Lithofin products. It sounds like grout haze. I'd follow the managers advice, and pray! If you dont have any joy, or you'd rather just pay someone else to sort it, there are people out there that specialise in stone cleaning.

I do use lithofin and fila products both of them is top quality brands lithofin is bit more pricey than fila

The builders may have done the sealing & grouting process 100% correctly, but have we checked with them exactly what was done, the products and process used?? Just in case...

I am new to this forum and I agree with the points already raised, if it is possible to send some photos I would be glad to help out. If I HAD to guess, I would assume grout haze as it is one of the main problems I come across. Grout haze is usually removed with an acid based product as grout is obviously cement based. Acid, however, is not Limestones best friend, so don't even think about it. Is the limestone polished?
