Colour enhancer

Hi All

Discussing a set out of cappuccino polished marble with a customer and in areas around the window the sides of the marble that are not polished will be on show.
Creating a shiny/matt contrast
If a colour intensify was used on the sides should that bring the colour nearer to the polished finish so easier on the eye.
There are other ways to set out but the customer has this way in mind

Hi mate, if you don't have a flex type polisher. You can get the edges polished at any local stone, granite, marble yard, ( the people who make natural stone worktops etc) this is one cappuccino job I had polished

Not had to polish edges as high before such unsure what i can acheive
I have the Fein stone polishing kit.
Would that be enough to reach the polished look required or if not is there any makers of pads you'd reccommend.

Kev since I had my flex kit stolen 2 yrs ago I haven't replaced it, I have the fein multimaster, but never tried polishing marble with it. I just find it easier to get it done at my local yard, they don't charge much, and do a fantastic job

I bet they do a great job Phil have been looking at some extracts on marble polishing on you tube.
What was the make of kit sadly you had stolen and where would you purchase one from.
If reasonably priced may possibly buy one though will try source out a local stone yard

I have just bought a variable speed polisher, profile wheel and a set of diamond pads. Tried it on Travertine and granite so far, gets the edges lovely.

Which polisher,profile and pads did you buy and from where.
A good reccomendation is a great place to start.
Just looking at Flex not cheap but certainly look top notch

Ebay from USA. Came in just over 1 week and paid £128 all inc duty and P&P

On my current job i persuaded the customer to let me get 30mm thick polished marble window boards ! one for bathroom and one for wetroom.
I normally make these but lately i'v just been paying a local factory to do them for me and what a job they do !! beautiful to say the least, and saves me the hassle(of course i build in a bit of profit which helps me too).

only down sides are that the thread is 5/8 not 14mm but you could ask if they do a 14mm version. i know the factory list a 14mm.
