Not normally my bag but have been asked several times to price a large commercial job that's 5 minutes from my door step. As I've not done any commercial work for several years (last time I was getting £20 per metre labour only) I was hoping you guys could give me an idea of the going rate for labour only.
The job is 460 square metres of 30x30 honed and polished granite installed on a machine finished screed. It's a huge open area with just perimeter cuts and expansion joints to deal with.
The second part of the job is to install 66 pre-cut 1.5 metre long x 30 mm thick stair treads that need 4 locating holes cut in the back of each tred. There are also 2 curved landings of 4 square metres each to be fitted with pre-cut and formed granite.
As I've no idea of the going rate for this type of install, I'm open to all suggestions regarding price. There are no materials to supply and is labour only. All tiles are on site and next to floor to be tiled and will have the whole area free of other trades guaranteed if I take it on as the rest of the build is complete. Not sure if I'm actually going to do it or subbie it out as that depends on the rates achievable for this type of work.
Thanks in advance for all advice....
