Hello.
This is my first post and am very hopeful.
I have some 600mmx300mmx10mm floor & wall tiles which are to be used in a bathroom.
Part of the wall are tiled and part have been pva sealed and bonded level to the existing tiles.
Which sealant/s should be used on the bonding and which on the tiles.
There are two 'BAL' products and other advice I have found is rather inconclusive.
The tile shop sold me BAL wall & floor professional cementacious adhesive , is this correct and if not how should I proceed.

many thanks

Tiling to bonding plaster is not advised, either skim it with gypsum or overboard it mechanically. PVA also is not a good idea, it really does not do much at all except re-emulsify.

Carlite bonding should not be tiled untill it is finished with Thistle finish which will take 20kgm2 weight of tile, addy and grout also i would never use bonding in a bathroom as it has the habit of attracting moisture aso tile on tile is best avoided for many reasons, check the weight of your tiles etc if its going to be to much take the lot of and start again properly tiles like that falling of a wall can cause lots of injury.
Lucius.
