Can you just confirm I have this process right please.
Porcelin floor tiles laid and need grouted

1. seal them? (just brush on ???)

2.grout??

yep..seal, grout and seal again, no need to seal if they are glazed..Mark.

so do you just paint each tile with the sealer after grouting with jsut a normal paint brush?? and dont touch the grout lines after grouting or do you have to wait till the grout has dried befor you seal for the second time?

wait at least 3 days until grout has cured then re-seal including grout lines....Gaz

Full bodied porcelain needs sealing with a porcelain impregnator..i use lithofin FZ...but there loads of other makes..
just seal them before you grout and wipe any excess residue off before it dry's hard on the tile..
And if the porcelain is glazed then no need to seal.....

i do polished porcelain with a cloth.....then rub off surface within 5 mins with another cloth.... to be honest with this being not a very porous tile it doesn't take much sealer... hope this helps

Some porcelain is full bodied and polished...these have to be sealed,others are porcelain body but glazed surface,these do not......Gaz

Absolutly dropped my rear end yesterday when I was ment to grout that floor so didnt do it! I think im scared in case the grout gets stuck in the tiles!!

so just to confirm

tiles are down

cover with impregnator once and leave for 2 hours

the grout. do i grout the same as a wall and load the grout pad up and lash it over the full tile or do I have to be carefull and jst hit the grout liknes if possble>?

then 1s thats done wipe over with the wash boy and jobs a guddon?

then leave for a couple days and seal agina?

can some one please confirm cause I dont ever what to have to go back to this crappy little job

The porcelain only needs sealing once to help seal the open pores..a second seal will seal the grout joints only......dont leave the grout too long before you wash off..change water often ....good luck mate..it will be ok dont worry..and if you do get any residue then just use a residue remover......
