Corner trim

All,

Whats your choice for trimming around a window.

Ok, I will try and explain, I dont often do a 3 way mitre.
So say around a window on a kitchen splashback tiled half way up or just above the units. Do you:
a) mitre the two bits of trim along the top of the tiles and butt the vertical trim up to them as I do or
b) mitre the trims around the reveal and but the trim running along the wall up to them as ive seen on a few other jobs recently.

Hope you get what I mean, I dont have any photos. If someone else does maybe post them and we could have a poll?

(A) for me....never done a 3 way....i think it will be an ugly joint...but thats me..

A for me too, although oddly someone asked me if i could file the point of the mitre a bit incase they every cut there finger on it, it was a very crisp mitre though even if i do say so myself, mabe one day ill be able to do it again :lol:

I'm with you there too Davy,i have done 3 ways before but i find they look very odd at times IE small corners,do you also rub off any sharp edges?? i have also mitred the two apart from the top wall one but this leaves a point too.

I, generally, will always do a 3 way mitre as I prefer that look. However, I have recently been looking at the corner trim end thingy wotnots and may well start trying that as an option.

A for me, just do the occasional mitre if the customer prefers it

Tried every which way I think, couldn't get away with the 3 way, just didn't look right. The corner things look good on ,say on a kitchen splashback window, with the trim in the window reveal butting off against the corner thingys
