Finally finished tiling a large kitchen today, floor to ceiling. Took me 5 days and was happy at about 2:30 today when the last tile got fitted.
2 days ago the kitchen light stopped working, i had covered and tiled over an old back box from a light switch as it was no longer used and wasn't live (took out box snipped away visable wires, covered up and tiled over). The owner asked me could it have anything to do with that to which i replied "no, it was already disconnected".
Anyway (sorry for drawn out post) returned about 4.00 after going for some food ready to grout up get the cash and go home smiling. Walked through the door and to my horror there was a sparky stood there looking at the "tiled" wall scratching his head. He had removed the tile which the old box was behind along with a whole row floor to ceiling as well as badly scratching both rows next to the removed as he had ripped them off with a hammer and chisel. The problem with the light? a loose wire in the loft (bungalow). Was that mad i threw a set of stepladders at the bloke. Have to bloody go back tomorrow now to sort it out, feel awful for the house owner as he is an old bloke and don't want to really charge him another days rate.
Going to be speaking with the customer tomorrow about writing to the company who employs this idiot.
When i heard him say to the old bloke "i will just write out an invoice to you" i couldn't resist saying "if your pen touches the paper i will stick it up your arse"

When i walked back in and seen what he had done i swear my mouth dropped open like something out of a film. Mde me laugh though when he asked could he borrow my step ladders to get in the loft. Must have just seen the anger in my face cause he just replied "ok will get mine off the van"
