Me again - slates all laid and they look fab ! Took 2 of us 5 days and I will never do this again with uncalibrated tiles. Screed was beautiful so if anybody needs recc. of screeders in Stoke-on-Trent area then I know some guys. Wetroom now under way -all been tanked properly etc Father in law is happy as this is 'proper' tiling !
Back to the slates- these basically just need a good de-dusting and clean ready for treating. Question is can I use stardrops ok to clean them off ? I use it for pretty much everything else and as far as I know it's alkali based.

If you can get hold of it use the products made by Fila, their impregnator is second tto none, afterwards treat with Fila Satin wax, whch is lovely to use, smells nice and doesn't send you high as a kite, HG and lithothin are very strong smelling, The beauty with satin wax is that you can add it to water when you mop, so you maintain the floor as its cleaned.
