if you dont have enough height to play with , ditra may well be not an option.
try using pecilastic or similar from trimline that is only 1mm thick. cut a piece of mat under tile that bridges crack and then bed tile in s2 or even better rubber crumb adhesive .
this is not a guarantee and you must stress that but i have done this dozens of times with good results.
