Good Morning Everyone,
got a bit of a weird one for you all - I tiled for many years but am now off the tools and running a tile showroom.
We recently supplied some 907 x 907 full bodied porcelain tiles - 12mm thick - for a kitchen floor project. We have supplied 100's of meters of these over this year.
They were laid last week, checked for flatness before laying, and all tickety boo and all happy.
Client to site Monday and not happy with install and tiler called to site and the edges of the tiles appear to have curled up leaving lipping.
Water fed UFH present but not commissioned at time of laying as rads not in - these installed over weekend and heating turned on for short time = not left on overnight.
Has anyone had any experience of this problem before, I spoke with TTA and they are scratching their heads and just thought I'd put it out there to see whats what before I visit tomorrow for a looksee.
Tiles are made in Spain by a renowned maker - not sure if I can say who here.
If anyone has any thoughts I would be most grateful.
