...and project managing snagging works,one of the problems was tiles sounding hollow under foot, and badly fitted, so got contractor to lift the meeting room tiles to find this...tiles have been laid on sand...with a thin lean mix then adhesive...these tiles have been down 3 years and there was no cracking in grout or tiles...i know this method was used by the romans.....the floor was concrete and there were many cracks in the concrete so if this sand method had not been used i reckon the cracks would have carried through onto tile...all been removed as well as sand and re-laid on lean mix to clients request...there is some great work out here though... the last one is of a floor in the city centre mall in Bahrain
