Curved porcelain cut..HELP!!!!

Hi Guys,
I need some advice on the best method of cutting around my shower trays. They are all curved. My tiles seem to chip slightly on the edge when I cut them. I will be using my grinder. Would a new blade help as I have the cheap original blade on the cutter at the moment. Thanks in advance,

hi gusty ,you can buy a curved blade for these type of cuts

i have aone and they are great
trade tiler on here sells them

I use a glass blade in my grinder for such jobs, works a treat and gives a lovely crisp cut. The blade I use is a QEP one from B&Q and it's about 17 quid. They don't last very long if you are dry cutting with them but they are good.

Making templates of the tray will help as well when it comes to cutting the shape..

Thanks for the advice. If the B+Q blade will last 3 trays then that will do me. It might be easier to buy from Trade Tiler though. My nearest B+Q is 30 miles away,

Nice bri... How did you make the curved cuts? I have some to do

Marked them out, cut them a bit big, then just make a few adjustments to get a nice fit. All done with the grinder. I used to use a templating tool or a bit of card in my early days, now just do it with a few measurements and the final bit by eye.

Use nippers myself, and bring the last 5-10mm by following the shape with a finger/spacer between the pencil and object. Curved wheel looks much handier though.
