went to my customers house today to start kitchen and she changed her mind from what i already priced for.the original plan was an average size tile with a single tile border, the new plan was tiles similar to the original but with 2 seperate glass mosaics,2strips fom the mixed colour and 1 from the single colour which takes more time, personally i would usually charge more but this couple are great and didn't,everything the same as when i done there bathroom, fry up in the morning, lunch and bottles of irn-bru!
was wandering what you guys do when customers change the job and how you go about changing the price if you do?

Its usually happy for me when they change.i have a habit of suggesting too many borders.herringbone floors.brick walls etc.actually priced and got a job lately 600x300 polished porc.she wanted straight and nothing else.happy days i thought.not so but.a wk before i was due to start i got the call to say her nephew was doin it.lovely.

seem to get this a lot with borders price the job up no mention of borders start the job hope you dont mind but ive got a border
which is fine unless field tiles are different thickness in my experiance customers dont check this they just expect you to sort it without extra cost though you get the odd customer who gives you a nice tip

Well i have just priced and got a 80m2 slate floor, a victorian floor about 5m2, an Octogon and dot bathroom floor with border, 3 other bathroom floors and 3 showers in 100mm tiles. So if they want to channge to 150mm wall tiles and ceramic floor tiles i wont charge them any extra at all.

In this particular case I think I'd take them to the cleaners!
It would have to be a decent English drink like Danelion&Burdock and the fry up would have to come with ketchup!.
