Did a quote today, chinese clients in Tolworth, London. Just bought a new build 500k pad. The builders only 3/4 the bathroom & on-suite, no tiles in kitchen at all. 20 m2 to correct, so went in at 120 a day plus materials.

The lady was fine, until her son, 15 yrs old, stuck his oar in and reckoned 120 a day was far too much. So, I lost my rag and told him to find some one to do it under that price in London.

The usual thing, 2 new mercs on the driveway, state of the art tv.....................the mind boggles..............

Should have offered to do it by the m2 and charged oh i dont know 35-40 a m2. Then everyone knows where they stand and the kid shuts his mouth cos he cant work out you will clean up!:8:

Have always found the Chinese will want to haggle over the price. It depends on your selling skills, once when selling carpets sold carpet at £5 a metre and the underlay at £8 a metre.
So next time you have a take away haggle the cost and see what happens:11:

think it's quite popular in the far east,every asian customer i get seems to haggle so i often quote slightly more than i want,that way when they start haggling i can afford to drop my price a little and still get what i want,and they think they've saved a few quid so everyones a winner!
