D24000s

I have seen the D24000s at one of my suppliers and Im seriously thinking about getting this bad boy next week.

I have just splashed out on a new impact gun and circular saw kit and cant realy afford to be spending much more but I honeslt cant resist!

Question for any of you guys who have one

Do you find it to be practical to use this saw on most jobs?

Honest answer ? well No, but that depends on the size of job really. i have used mine from 200x100 mm tiles up to 600x600 and above. Stone, Ceramic and Porcelains. No point taking it on a job where a smaller machine can cope.

I have one and tbh I only use it on the larger jobs or stone jobs, For smaller jobs I use my old Norton clipper sms303, The Dewalt is quite big when set up, and needs a room on its own or else outside.For a full house job I set up the saw somewhere and just take the main part home at night. Saying that if you have a fair bit of stone then it will pay for itself in no time. I still wouldn't be without mine

Had mine about 2 years now and I swear its been the best cutter I have ever had and I still think its great . As others have said, I wouldn't be with out it. Tradetiler gave me the best price too.

less than half price £299

Cant say where right now as I dont want to let other potential buyers know as it isnt officaly on sale untill next week. lol


I m gonna go see them in the morning to see if I can buy it beforehand.

all accesories are there, I couldnt believe it when I saw this. Need to get there before anyone else. lol

Gonna go for the 110v as I dont want to be limited to dommestic only with this beast.

Now starting to wish that all my tools were 110v, for the sake of casrrying a little transfomer and lead around it would never have been that much hassle in the first place. Its when I have been on commercial jobs I have been thinking how usefull 110v tools would have been. I can use cordless but, they aint always up to the job.

as above, you wont use it on every job but pound for pound its the best all round saw on the market imo.

I would bite his hand off for that price, i have used mine about twice in the last 2 years?, 1 job paid for it, & for a big job its a god send, i know that if i need it then i have it there to use.

only draw back I can see right now is that you would need to cut all mitres at once as the markings on the bevel dont actualy lock into place so you may be slightly off if all cuts were not done at once.

e.g. you cut a mitre, then a straight cut, you then try to reset the saw to 45 again but cant guarentee you get it to exact location again.

There is a pointer for 45deg/ 22.5deg never had a problem

I have done loads of mitres and never found anything to be concerned about.

perhaps any difference is minor enough not to be an issue, I guess as long as the arris is bang on the cut line there will be no issue as the cut will not be seen behind that point anyway as the two mitres join together, unlike that of timer skirting for example.
