I have bought a Rubi DC 250. I know it's not as mobile but for me this isn't a problem. Plus most of my stuff nowadays is getting bigger.

Why is there such a difference in price for these on eBay? Up to a £1000 ! If my insurance pays out, I will be getting a new one, but if everyone's selling, why? What's better, apart from the arm getting in the way.

I will do a review over the next couple of weeks, so far it seems pretty good. I have come across a few things but i'll save them for the review.

Difference in price is just people trying to get the most money out of customers i guess. Personally i don't think there is much better for the money, ease of use, transporting, build quality. It has most things. It's just limited on the length of cut and the arm for me. Buy mine and save yourself a fair bit of cash....

I couldn't cope with such a noisy motor. Induction motors all the way, even the rubi trumps it on this.

110V version, New from a tool shop for £780 inc VAT.

I have a start price of £500 on mine. I would let it go for £500 to someone on here including a DNA blade as well.

I love my Dewalt! I'd be interested to hear about the new Rubi.. In general, I'm pretty unimpressed with their (Rubi) all over quality.
