It's easy enough to do nice flat splashbacks etc but if you value you sanity don't get involved in doing diagonals round corners or window sills. You will get lumbered with the most fiddly little cuts known to man. Regards Jellymould

never a truer word written!

A diamond pattern in a border is just about acceptable but a whole wall in diamond set!! - never again !!! (plus I personally dont like the look of it)

respect to all those that take it with a pinch of salt though

One of the most important factors to remember is that when you cut into a corner you must treat the tile like a pattern tile so your return piece must not sit over the top otherwise you will lose your lines. Easiest way to avoid cutting in to far is to place your tile flat against the return and mark adding an extra 3ml for adhesive, when cutting into the corner you now have a visual reference to keep you from cutting to deep.
Here's a better example http://www.diamondtrainingcentre.co.uk/carter.php
Its not that difficult just take your time.

Hi ,
Done a few diamond pattern splash backs as a feature and even under a window sill as this was only 150mm and wouldnt have looked nice with a 1/2 tile there.
I always start with a full tile as when u take into account the spacing the half tiles are not always a true half .
I would have added a couple of pictures but still strugling on how to add them .
