UPDATE:

From Dominics report the bodger builder has seen the error of his ways. He has agreed to pay for a pro tiler to come and rip the whole lot out and totally redo.

He has just asked for 3 quotes. I have 2 and am trying to get a third. If you are a hot shot tiler and fancy quoting please contact me. Job hopefully starting in the coming weeks.

This has been a 10 month ordeal and the end is in sight. When sorted I shall post a complete history with photos, letters to builder, replies, telephone conversations, links to previous posts here and finally finished photos in the hope others can get the resolution I seem very near to getting. (all names blanked of course)

Tell the builder u want Dom to tile it as you know u can trust him. Thats if Dom can fit u in timewise

I would do - but I believe it will be classed as a conflict in intrest if Dom were to produce a report that says the whole lot needs to be redone..... and by the way I can do it for £x

Thats not something that can happen buddy, the report has to be done an independent 3rd party.

finding good builder is hard. i have a similar problem right now. well done Dom
