I don't know where these people get the idea that you're here to barter. if their boss came up to them one day and asked if they wouldnt mind working for 20% less today I wonder what their response might be...

a quote i did before xmas,4 sqmtrs floor tiling in a bathroom,cut round toilet and basin put in 1 day at 150 got asked if that included the tiles!!!!they were a old couple but i still could'nt help laughing!

if we offered to work for just tea and biscuits, someone would ask if we could do without the biscuits.
best to stick to your price and be done with it, i certainly wouldn't get involved in an arguement over price

back to the original post...as far as i'm concerned, this customer has already told you...either he ain't going to pay you or he going to find fault after fault....I'd walk, there will be another job just around the corner..Mark.
