what about emailing them to someone, do you think that is ok

Sure, I email all my invoices. Providing it's a customer you have just as many details of theirs for the police should you think they've stolen your ID. Which is what people worry about I guess. But it's unlikely an ID thief would be conning tilers. They'd assume most would be cash I guess anyway as they have crooked minds themselves?

If you've done work for somebody, trust them with your bank details. They can only pay you money with 'em.
